Cats are DEFINITELY my favorite type of animal I could have as a friend. Actually, I have a lot of kitty friends. I just LOVE them. They’re expert hunters, and really clever. Cat’s are the best! Today I’m going to tell you my family’s story with cats!
My mom’s story
Cats are a very important animal in my mom’s side, well not to her parents, (or her cousin’s parent’s!- she lived with her cousins too!) because they got the injured and sad cats from the streets! My family is so used to cats, that my mom’s cousin that started it has a cat that can follow tricks!
How I got to like cats
I never really got interested in cats until my uncle got a cat named Johnny. He was a British Shorthair. And he was so fun to play with! I played with him a lot. Then after a few months, my uncle got another cat named Charlie. he was a mix of a Persian and a Himalayan. Then he got ANOTHER cat, and his name was Crooky. He got him when he was still a cute, little kitty. They were all so fun to play with. I could play with him all day.
Stray cats
Next are the stray cats that I see every time I go to a specific place. The stray cats you’re going to meet are:
- Spotty
- Tiger Bunny
- Bobby
- Orange
Spotty
Spotty is a spotted light green eyed cat. I met him when I was in Verve, a place in BGC. I was looking for a cat to feed. The first was scared of me, I haven’t met it before. The second was Bobby. He rubbed against my body and followed me until I met a spotted cat with light green colored eyes. It looked hungry, so I gave it some cat treats. Just then, Bobby ate the cat treats too! I guess he didn’t know it was food until someone else ate it. Just then, my mom was calling me on the phone. She told me to walk back to her because we were having a friend “play date” for my mom at a restaurant. So I took a break from cat feeding and went to eat my delicious food waiting at the table for me. After I was done, I was positive I could finally touch him with my hand. I scratched his head like a gentle massage, a thing that most cats find relaxing. And it worked. He really stood very still while occasionally closing his eyes until he walked away again. That was a great adventure!
Tiger Bunny
One time, I was walking to a Starbucks café. Then out of the bushes, I saw a cat with a bit of brown on the top of his back. I was thinking what to name it. I decided to name it Tiger, but that was too fierce. I needed a cute but at the same time fierce name. So I named it Tiger Bunny. The next few days I checked on that very same bush, and then I saw Tiger Bunny! I fed him some cat treats, then I went off. I guess I made another friend!
Bobby
I first time we met was in Verve before my kickboxing lessons. I was waiting until it was time, so I decided to explore. I passed by a picnic table filled with people, and i saw a cat under it. He looked hungry, but I didn’t bring my cat treats, so I just try to experiment if I could make it know when i’m going to do something. Like give him a treat. or if i need to look for him, I’ll just say his name and he’ll come to me. I tried clapping. Every time I clapped, i’ll throw down a pile of leaves in front of him. just to experiment. I did it a lot of times, but I’m not sure if it worked. And anyway, I got bored of it. So I just tried naming it. I named it Bobby. Don’t worry, he recognizes me whenever I come to Verve.
Orange
I volunteer to feed cats in BGC. I used to feed cats at Verve, now I’m feeding at Burgos Eats. There, I met a cat who loves to play and play. Most people call her Tiger, but I call him Orange. Orange was a one-year old kitten when I met him. He’s really playful and cute. I don’t think he will remember me when I see him again, but I’ll remember him.
I hope you learned a lot about my family’s story about cats. What would you like me to talk about next? I’m working on a new one already, but you could give me suggestions on what I could work on. I’ll hold a poll somewhere and the winning suggestion will be on the list of what I’ll work on. See you soon!
